Tax Returns: Complete and Total Satisfaction

Oh, dudes, the beauty of unemployment.  Since I went over 3 months without a job last summer (and since I hired an accountant to do my taxes this year) I am getting back about $2500 on my federal and (for the first time!) state income taxes.

Woot!

Life Is What Happens

Hey, everyone!  Sorry I’ve been incommunicado for the last week or so.  Life’s been crazy busy, as it all too often is. Here’s a little taste of what I’ve been up to.

We were supposed to have one other roomie, Rita, but she had some family stuff come up and cancelled at the last minute.

Diane was kind of concerned that she’d be a third wheel (fifth wheel?) and repeatedly told us that if we wanted “coupletime,” to just let her know and she’d clear out. The BF and I thought this was pretty funny and would shout “couple time!” whenever she looked like she was about to fall asleep, when she was working on her conference presentation, whatever.
