So as I implied in my comments to Lance’s blog regarding how he blew his Valentine’s Day opportunity, the BF and I made our plans together.  Last year we went to his favorite sushi restaurant near our house, so this year it was up to me to pick the place.  I chose Canal because I had gone there for a networking event for my sorority alum club.  I remember getting really excited about the menu but all the ladies only ordered one glass of wine apiece and there were enough of them that I thought it would be awkward to order food.  I’d been thinking of the place ever since, so I went ahead and made our reservations.  The BF and I set a price limit on Valentine’s Day gifts ($30 apiece) and we were set.
