A fellow named Wizard wrote a comment on one of my fuck buddy posts here. I started to write a long winded comment, but decided to blog about it instead because I got really fired up. Again a bit late with the Weekly but it’s all good my peeps. I was sucking down tequila shots on Friday night and that basically shot me for the rest of the weekend. What else? Okay, so recently I met this great chick while traveling for work. I picked her up, closed her, and generally had a great time for a couple of days. Remember how I talked about having a plan with every potential partner you date or meet? You should form a good idea if the person is LTR material, one nighter, fuck buddy, or nothing, in which case you need an exit strategy.

This girl I’m talking about is super cool and I want to maintain some kind of relationship with her, but a long distance relationship is out of the question. So I set up what I call a long distance fuck buddy (LDFB) arrangement. Basically, what it boils down to is that we’ll meet on party trips or in other cities to have adventures together. I’ve had a couple of friends pull this off successfully, and the idea really crystallized after reading Brad P’s ebook where he described several similar type arrangements he maintained.

Holy crap, how come I get all the crazy ones? You know this girl Kitty I’ve been banging, er, dating? Well, things have definitely gone into the shitter with her. Here’s what happened.

I was out of town for a week and the whole time Kitty and I communicated. Cutesy texts, emails, even a couple of phone calls. It looked like this thing might be a decent deal. We planned to meet for drinks on the Sunday that I got back. Sunday rolled around, I went to the bar where we were supposed to meet and she stood me up over text. Yeah, that’s right, she texted that she was too tired from working (she worked occasional weekends at a hospital) and couldn’t make it. Okay. I was miffed, but I blew past it and actually ended up having a rocking good time anyway. I called up some pals and partied with them. Screw it.

I ain’t gonna lie. I love fuck buddies. I think it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

I look around and I see variations of the FB relationship EVERYWHERE…it’s a commonplace thing. I first heard the term in college and realized that everybody was doing it. If you weren’t embroiled in a serious relationship, you were getting laid, and your partner was basically a fuck buddy.

(Excuse me. Would either of you like to be my fuck buddy?)
