Was Losing My Virginity Worth it?

Last week we put out a call to all bloggers to talk about what their virginity was worth.  Virginity is interesting because it’s one of those moments that’s a big deal until it happens, and then suddenly it’s no longer fascinating.  Kind of like turning 21, which seems so important (and is a big deal for awhile), but then after the novelty wears wears off you are having some beer at home or ordering two of your favorite mixed drinks at a local bar instead of getting entirely plastered off of shooters that are only recommended to you because they have racy names (I can’t think of the last time I ordered a Red Headed Slut).

Don’t Be A Cheating Douchebag

A fellow named Wizard wrote a comment on one of my fuck buddy posts here. I started to write a long winded comment, but decided to blog about it instead because I got really fired up. I’m risking losing a reader, but screw it, we don’t pull punches around this blog. Wizard, you’re going to get roughed up a bit, but suck it up big boy because you’ve got it coming.

What Is Cheating, Anyway?

To add to the discussion about what’s great about monogamy versus some of the other systems out there, my interest was peaked when I came across this article called “Let’s Chat About Cheating.” Author Steve Penner not only references the Sex and the City movie and TV series (one of the most accurate commentaries on relationships EVER), he gives his perspective on AshleyMadison.com, a “dating” site for people who are…um, married, and interested in having an affair(s).  In fact, one of their slogans is, “Life is short.  Have an affair.”

Does International Nooky Count As Cheating?

(I miss you DR!)

As promised, I’m going to (belatedly) share the insights I gleaned from my trip to DR. This was the first major trip I’ve taken since I got into social artistry (two years) and also the only trip I’ve done with other social artists. We talked extensively about game and social psychology, while at the same time observing and interacting in-field. I thought this was an excellent experience and really added to my knowledge base. Here’s day 1, day 2, and day 3 of the trip.

Here we go. Continued

What If You Don’t Like His Friend?

Okay, so I don’t know if there’s anything that can really be done about this, but a) I figure you all will let me know if you can think of something, and b) at least this way I get to vent. The BF has a friend that I’m not crazy about. We’ll call him Dick. We’ve hung out with Dick and his girlfriend, Jane, at their house a couple of times. We’ve also hung out with just Dick (significant, as I’ll mention later) publicly–restaurants, beer fests, that sort of thing. Dick is fun enough, though you can tell that he thinks a lot more of himself than any other reasonable person would. But he’s done/said some smarmy things that make me kinda uncomfortable. Continued
