Desert Botanical Gardens

So, on Sunday the BF and I went to the Desert Botanical Gardens.  Since I posted a couple of heavy-hitters within the last week, I decided to end the week on a lighter note and share with you some of my awesome photos from our visit.

I am not so great with photos of people or artwork (the BF is fantastic at both of these categories) but do take great landscape, plant and animal photographs.  My San Francisco photo album is one of my favorites for this reason, too.

Keep in mind as you marvel over how stunning the desert is that this place is less than 15 minutes from our house and we live in the middle of the city.  What a great day!  As the BF said, we “did something cultural and were still home in time to get drunk and relax before going to bed!”

This is the view when you first walk into the gardens:

Enjoy!

You said something about amazing shower sex recently on Cole’s comments. That was funny to me mostly because you also just posted a bunch of photos about cacti, which happen to be the driest things on the planet.

Shower sex = wettest, perhaps hottest thing on the planet. Cacti = driest, and interestingly, perhaps hottest thing on the planet as well.

Your desert is awesome! I love AZ. And I also know the feeling of wanting to follow “heavy hitter” posts up with something lighter. Blogging takes a lot out of me. It’s funny, posts I spend two hours on might not get a lot of commentary. Posts I whip out in 20 minutes might unleash a firestorm. Who can figure? It’s good to do a mix, and try to find balance.

Would be nice to see a higher resolution photo of the first one, hehe. But I’m not complaining hehe. All in all actually pretty good photos.

Till then,

Jean

Yeah, I had to cut the file size so that I could upload them. Sigh…
