Peeps, I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend. I sure did. It’s a new week, so that means the Thought Leader Interview Series continues. Today we’re featuring one of the smartest guys in pickup, The Asian Rake, who bequeathed us one of the most thoughtful and provocative interviews to date. Be sure to check out his excellent blog, Dr. Asian Rake, and also his website, The Power of Being Asian. Holy cow, this stuff is awesome. Feel free to debate his points in the comments.
“As women continue to gain ground in the professional workforce, especially in socially conservative countries, the male provider mindset will drop away, not entirely, but considerably. In some countries, this might take 40 or 50 years instead of 10 or 20. But it’s bound to happen. When it does, society will have to come to grips with the fact that women want sexual satisfaction as much as men do and that many formal courtship patterns are unnecessary and even irrational.”

I read an article about how jacked our next president is Barack Obama’s workout habits in the Washington Post, and I thought it was fucking cool. For one, I 100% agree with his decision to incorporate 60-90′ of working out into his daily routine. If you read the article, you’ll see that he gets his gym time in WITHOUT FAIL, even when he was on the road campaigning, and that he derives a ton of benefits from working out, not the least of which is good health. You might think that the gym is a bit of a luxury, especially for the President-Elect, but I disagree and think you’re kind of a tool if you don’t want the president to hit the gym regularly. I happen to think that EVERY SINGLE person in a modern society should find the time to do some kind of sport or workout, 5-6 days per week, for their entire lives, no matter how busy you are. Presidents especially. The last thing I want is a lardass for a Commander-in-Chief who could keel over any minute from a lifetime of sitting on his ass and eating fatty foods.

Merry Christmas, I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! I think I speak for Honey also when I say that we’re incredibly thankful to be able to do this whole blogging thing and we love our wonderful readers and commenters. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed growing Honey and Lance and we couldn’t do it with you.
I’m spending the day hanging with my mom, watching NBA basketball, catching up on blog reading, and chillin’.
So, whilst I was driving around doing my Christmas shopping, I heard the Bare Naked Ladies doing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen on the radio. Also features Sarah McLachlan. Lovely. Enjoy:
Peeps, let’s kick some ass in 2009!!

So, this post will be brief and explain my (regretable, I’m sure you all agree) absence from the blogosphere of late. Remember last week, when I thought I had a UTI and then offered home remedies on how to fix it?
Well, no dice.
It went underground and resurfaced that Friday in the form of lower back pain, which I thought was weird but which went away after about an hour. Then Saturday it was back…all weekend. I didn’t want to go to the ER, so I waited until Monday and went to the doctor.
I have a kidney infection. I feel awful. I’ve missed the last two days of work, but not in a fun, pre-Christmas, let’s party way – in a don’t eat anything, moan on the couch way. I am on antibiotics and some other things for the symptoms now, but I still feel it quite a bit. I tried to eat twice yesterday and couldn’t, so today I settled for some chocolate soymilk.
Ugh. I should’ve just gone to the doctor…

“I hope the world in 20 years is more filled with loving intention, and there is less of a gender war, less ego-based striving, and more loving acceptance for everyone involved. But I think that’s up to us” –30
